I was talking with a friend this morning, and he spoke of sadness – strong, deep sadness that just doesn’t go away.  We talked about the times, hope, and, accepting and respecting the feelings.  So often we want to move out of the feeling, calling it wrong or bad, rather than accepting what is, and calling it a part of us…

I wrote this haiku months ago, but I thought it was most appropriate today, given my conversation this morning.  It is what it is like for many today…

I hope that you can find joy knowing, if sadness is present that you can experience both at the same time…
